Brain Games Catan is a game that has been loved and widely acclaimed around the world for many years. The game board is assembled from hexagonal resource cards, each marked with numbers. Players take turns rolling two traditional dice, which determine which resource you can obtain if you have a settlement or city built on that space. By accumulating resources, players build roads, construct houses and castles, and strive for greater development. Victory points are awarded for all of this, and the player with the most points wins.
Your adventure-seeking settlers aim to tame the remote but rich island of Catan. Start by exploring Catan’s many ports and regions: pastures, fields, mountains, hills, forests, and deserts. A random combination creates a different board practically every game. Lead your settlers to victory by trading wisely and expanding strategically. Use combinations of resources—grain, wool, ore, bricks, and wood—to acquire useful development cards and build roads, settlements, and cities. Acquire resources by trading, using cards, or rolling lucky dice (even when it’s not your turn). But beware! Someone might block your path or buy a monopoly. And you never know when a cunning robber might steal a portion of your hard-earned profits!
